Hearing Tonight on Proposed Mashpee Tax Exemption

MASHPEE – A public hearing on a proposed residential tax exemption in Mashpee is set for tonight; the meeting will be held at Mashpee High School at 6:30 PM.

The town is considering raising property taxes on seasonal home owners in order to cut property taxes for the majority of year round residents.

About 20 towns in the  Commonwealth have adopted similar measures, including Barnstable and Nantucket.
