Heritage Museums and Gardens Serving Up Food Trucks Friday Night

SANDWICH – Heritage Museums and Gardens is hosting a food truck mini festival on Friday night.

Seven trucks will be on the grounds offering pizza, gourmet grilled cheese, barbeque, cannolis, and more.

Liz Fort, the Museum’s Manager of Public Programs, said last year’s event was very popular with approximately 1,000 attendees and she expects a large crowd again this year for the festival.

“It’s just a great family evening. We have music playing, we have games out for kids. The trucks are arranged right on our field inside our grounds next to the auto gallery, so it’s a very block party feel,” said Fort.

Admission is $10 for non-members. Food, beer and wine are not included in the admission price.

“We actually bring out one of our cars from our collection. It will be the 1916 Simplex Crane and visitors can get up close and person with one of most famous automobiles,” said Fort.

The event is scheduled from 5-8 Friday night.

Food trucks scheduled to be serving up their unique dishes include Pizza Barbone, The Local Scoop, Cape Cod Cannoli Truck, Pineapple Caper, Trolley Dogs, Sagamore Beach BBQ and The Casual Gourmet.
