Heritage Museums and Gardens Hosting Hoppy Fall Festival

SANDWICH – Looking for a way to get into the mood for fall as the Autumn Equinox approaches? Heritage Museums and Gardens might have the event for you.

Heritage is hosting the Hoppy Fall Festival, a tasting of craft beers from 12 local breweries, to kick of the official beginning of autumn.

Guests are expected to enjoy an afternoon of the best locally brewed craft beers and discover new ones through brewing demonstrations on-site.

Outside the tasting tent, guests and their families are welcome to listen to live music by The Oysters Duo, enjoy the food, and more all while relaxing in the largest public garden in southern New England, the biergarten.

Ticket prices are listed at $40 for members and $35 for non-members. Included with each ticket is admission to all gardens and museum exhibits, beer tastings, live music, home brewing demos, and a reusable souvenir cup.

Participating breweries include Cape Cod Beer Co., Barnstable Brewing, 6A Brewing Co., Castle Island Brewing Co., Cisco Brewers, Devil’s Purchase Brewing Co., Independent Fermentations Brewing, Hog Island Beer Co., Mayflower Brewing Co., Naukabout Beer Co., Shoal Hope Ciderworks, and Untold Brewing.

Visitors can also purchase food at the event from Wolf Pizza, Cape Cod Donuts, Pineapple Express Catering, Trolley Dogs, and the Local Scoop.

The festival will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on September 22. Tastings happen rain or shine under the tent on the Parade Field. Visitors must be 21 years or older to participate and must bring a valid ID. Last pour is at 4:30 p.m.
