Heritage Museums & Gardens Standard Flower Show to Kick Off This Week

SANDWICH- Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich will play home to the 39th annual Standard Flower Show hosted by the Southeastern District of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts.

During the exhibit, participants will be able to view numerous floral displays created by top award-winning designers from Cape Cod and regional garden clubs.

“The show itself will actually have 52 different designs. We will have 12 artistic craft entries, we will have 4 educations exhibits, and we will have a variety of horticulture specimens,’ says Haila Lyman, Member of the Garden Club Federation.

Visitors will also get to enjoy many different styles of floral designs sized from 6” to over five feet, vegetables, container-grown plants, shrubs and trees, artistic displays, fairy gardens, and more.

“The inspiration for this show title was all of the different artists, galleries, and artisans that we have in our area, and all of these… affect our floral arranging,” says Lyman.

Events kick off on July 24th beginning at 12:30PM through Thursday, the 26th from 10AM- 5PM.
