Herring Cove Beach Concession Stand To Remain Under Same Management

far landPROVINCETOWN – The concession stand at Herring Cove Beach will remain under the same management for the next 10 years.

The decision was announced by the National Park Service and the Cape Cod National Seashore, which has chosen Land on the Beach, LLC to continue operating the stand. The company had previously been operating under a three-year contract.

The concession stand has been at Herring Cove Beach since the 1950s, predating the establishment of the National Seashore by President Kennedy in 1961.

“We look forward to working with the team at Far Land on the Beach as the concessioner for the next ten years. Under their recent three-year contract, they have successfully served visitors at the new beach facility at Herring Cove Beach,” said George Price, the Superintendent of the Cape Cod National Seashore.

The National Park Service is required to put concessions contracts out to bid by the National Park Service Concession Management Improvement Act of 1998. The Park Service put the contract out to bid in March of this year. A panel of park officials reviewed applications and decided to continue the partnership with Far Land on the Beach.
