Cape Cod High School Artists Ready For Big Show

BARNSTABLE – A Cape-wide high school student exhibit is coming to the Cape Cod Art Center.

Titled “Beginnings”, it will run from the 19th through the 25th of March.

Ten students from each of the Cape’s high schools are chosen by their art department to participate in this annual event.  Celebrating the importance of visual arts, the CCAC gives them an opportunity to showcase their art in a professional gallery setting, gaining exposure in the local community.

The opening reception will take place on Friday March 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00, with awards presented at 7:00.  There will be a second reception that Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00.

CCAC also presents scholarships to high school art students planning on attending an accredited visual art school or college in the fall.

They are located on Route 6A in Barnstable and are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 4:00.  For more information, you can visit their website at capecodartcenter.org.
