High Surf Advisory Issued For East Facing Beaches

KA_Outer Beach surf_seals_042516052ORLEANS – The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory today for east facing shorelines.

The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. and covers beaches on the east side of the Outer Cape and Nantucket.

The high surf brings with it a risk of rip currents. 3 to 5 foot waves are possible near shore.

Some minor splash-over is possible around high tide late this morning and early this afternoon.
