MASHPEE – Mashpee Commons will turn into Hogwarts for a Saturday next month.

The Cape Cod Children’s Museum and the Commons are collaborating to celebrate 20 years of the magic of Harry Potter.

Participants are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 and journey around the Commons to complete a marauder’s map of participating retailers and restaurants.

Attendees will also step right into the pages of Harry Potter under the museum’s special event tent on the Village Green across from the public library.

Wizards will be sorted into Hogwarts houses and then be chosen by their wands, attend a potions class and collect coins at Gringott’s Bank at Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank.

Tickets are $15 for wizards and include full participation in all activities. Muggle tickets are $10 for adults and children under 2 years of age.

To purchase tickets visit CapeCodChildrensMuseum.org.

To guarantee participation, tickets should be purchased in advance as the event is expected to sell out early.
