Holiday Events Coming to Atwood House & Museum

CHATHAM – The calendar has flipped over to December this weekend and several holiday events and exhibits are coming to the Atwood House & Museum in Chatham.

Exhibits reopen from December 7 through the 29 on Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Ryder Martin’s incredible electric trains return filling the entire Main Gallery with local scenes, landmarks and trains.

The Atwood Store sleigh will also be open for the annual “Stuff-the-Sleigh” drive to benefit the Chatham Children’s Fund. All are invited to donate new or gently used hats, scarves and mittens for children in need.

Grub with the Grinch will be held Saturday, December 8 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Families can share a breakfast with the Grinch, who will also read a story to guests. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Later that day Santa will make a visit for the annual Hearthwarming event.

Experience the Old Atwood House the way it was 200 years ago and enjoy cider and cookies. Guests will also have the chance to take photos with Jolly Old Elf.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
