HYANNIS- The Housing Assistance Corporation is celebrating their work in providing safe, secure housing for all on Cape Cod and the Islands at its inaugural Oysters & Champagne fundraiser this summer.
The event will allow guests to sample locally-grown oysters paired with champagne, overlooking scenic Pleasant Bay on the Garden Terrace of the Wequassett Resort in Harwich.
Proceeds from Oysters & Champagne will go to benefit HAC’s housing programs which include operating four family homeless shelters; homeless outreach to those living in the streets and woods of Cape Cod; homelessness prevention; housing development; managing nearly 1,200 Section 8 vouchers in the region; offering foreclosure and reverse mortgage counseling; and providing an array of financial literacy workshops to those of all income levels.
Tickets for the event are set at $150 per person and are available on HAC’s website.
In addition to oysters and champagne, there will be a chef’s selection of other edible offerings as well as an open bar.
The event will take place on July 19, from 5-7 pm.
HAC is a 44-year-old nonprofit based in Hyannis, whose mission is to ensure that all on Cape Cod and the Islands have a safe, stable, decent place to live.
