BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable County Human Rights Commission and the Cape Cod branch of Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) are cosponsoring with Church Women United the annual observation of World Community Day.
“Sharing Gifts at the Table” will be held on November 5 at 9:30 a.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth.
The program brings together a panel of women to share gifts and challenges experienced by the communities they represent.
Panelists include Pancheta Peterson, a Unitarian Universalist minister born in Jamaica, and Alycia Davis, a Native American woman who took part in a walk across the U.S. by indigenous activists.
The panel will be followed by discussion of ways to honor and bring to the table the gifts of all people in ways that will strengthen our communities.
