Hyannis Cancels Parade

PostponedHYANNIS – More cancellations are coming in for July 4 activities because of the impending rain storms.

Barnstable town officials are reporting that the Hyannis July 4 Parade is cancelled, as is the Centerville Parade.

The Barnstable-West Barnstable Parade set to step off at 9 a.m. on July 4 is still on but the activities in the Hollow after the parade have been cancelled.

As for the Cotuit Parade, the parade committee will make a decision by 3 p.m. today as to whether the parade will go on at 11 a.m. as scheduled.

The Hyannis Harbor Boat Parade is still on. The parade can be viewed at Hyannis Harbor from 1:15 to 1:45 on July 4.

The special concerts scheduled for after the Hyannis Parade on the Hyannis Village Green and at Aselton Park have been cancelled.
