Hyannis Main Street to Host “Run with the Cops for Kids with Cancer” Event

KA_Hyannis_Welcome Historic Main street sign_11315BARNSTABLE –  The annual “Run with the Cops for Kids with Cancer” event is being held in Hyannis on Monday.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and participants will run or walk two miles down Main Street in Hyannis.

The cost to participate is $25 and all proceeds go to benefit the Cops for Kids with Cancer organization which helps families across New England.

Two Cape Cod families were helped by the organization last year.

“Cancer, in one way or the other, has affected everyone of us, and I find that with a worthwhile organization, such as this one, I do my best to help them help others,” said event organizer and Barnstable Police Officer Brian Morrison.

The event will conclude with an after party at the British Beer Company.

“They give out approximately $10,000 a month to needed families so I’m doing my part to help them raise some more money so that we can continue to help those families,” said Morrison.
