Hyannis Man Hospitalized, Cited in Motorcycle Crash

ER medical symbolHYANNIS – A Hyannis man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening after his motorcycle struck another vehicle on Bearse’s Way in Hyannis Saturday evening.

Lt. Kevin Black of the Hyannis Fire Department said Don Pilgrim, 40, suffered from cuts and scrapes and a possible broken collar bone.

Sgt. Thomas Twomey of the Barnstable Police Department said Pilgrim’s 2001 Honda motorcycle allegedly passed a stopped car that was letting another vehicle turn onto the road and struck the turning car.

Police cited Pilgrim for a failing to stay in marked lanes.

The driver of the other vehicle involved, Bianca Romero, 32, of Hyannis, was cited for driving without a license.
