Hyannis Rotary Welcomes New Slate of Officers

HYANNIS – The Rotary Club of Hyannis installed a new slate of officers last month, including President Jitka Borowick of Barnstable, for the upcoming year.

Borowick, the founder and CEO of Cleangreen, succeeds Immediate Past President James Tvrdik of West Yarmouth, owner of Jim’s Hang Ups. The club’s new leadership was welcomed during a ceremony at the Hyannis Golf Club on June 28.

“I am honored and humbled to be selected by my peers to lead an organization whose values of service above self is what initially drew me to the Rotary in 2012,” Borowick said.

“I look forward to building upon the great work of our club so that we can serve as an inspiration at the local, regional, national and international levels.”

During the ceremony, Borowick highlighted her goals for the upcoming year which includes growing membership, increasing the diversity of club membership, and conducting an international project that combines her interests with those of the club.

Most recently, she served as president-elect, chairing this year’s Home Garden & Lifestyle Show, helping to add a lifestyle component to the annual event for the first time ever.
