HYANNIS – In response to a potential water shortage, the Hyannis Water Board has declared a state of emergency and announced restrictions on water usage across the district.
Limitations include the implementation of odd/even day outdoor watering. Until further notice watering by residents with odd numbered addresses is restricted to odd numbered days. Outdoor watering by those with even numbered addresses is restricted to even numbered days.
Watering, including sprinkler use is only permitted between the hours of 5 pm and 5 am. There has also been a prohibition on the filling of swimming pools until is prohibited.
