Inaugural ‘State of the Cape’ to Address Region’s Top Issues

EventPhotoMini_CCB_logo_small - NEWDENNIS –  Cape Cod’s legislative delegation will gather this morning for a live television and webcast to discuss major topics facing the region.

The inaugural “State of the Cape,” hosted by CCB Media and Cape Cod Community Media Center, is expected to examine issues ranging from the opiate crisis to the environment and transportation.

The broadcast begins at 11 a.m. on CapeCod.com and channel 99 on cable across Cape Cod.

Local business and non-profit leaders have been invited to attend the forum.

“Our State of the Cape session will provide a unique opportunity to bring the region’s legislative delegation together in one place to hear what initiatives and proposals are ahead for the rest of 2016,” said CCB Media News Director Matt Pitta, who will moderate the event.

A portion of the event will be dedicated to audience questions.

“If we can open up a community dialogue, uncover some issues on which we can shine a light via our airwaves and websites, we may be able to find ways to work with businesses and citizens to unite and address these issues together rather than everyone working individually,” said CCB Media General Manager Beverly Tilden.
