Information session About Aviation Program To Be Held On Saturday

 

PLYMOUTH – The Aviation Maintenance Technology Program offered by Cape Cod Community College will begin its next classes on Monday January 22nd.  There will be an open house and information session in the Aviation Center at Plymouth Municipal Airport on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

With the industry desperate for more graduates, the college is excited about filling the remaining open slots. 

The median age of aviation mechanics is currently 51 years old.  At the same time that thousands will retire, there will be larger and more technologically advanced aircraft being introduced into the industries fleets. 

Those considering joining the program should know that it can be a very lucrative career, with starting salaries in the $40K to $60K range.  There is rapid advancement, particularly in major hubs, which can result in a six figure income. 

The program runs for 14 months and facilitates quick entry into the field.
