DENNIS – The town of Dennis will update residents on the ongoing 208 water quality management plan update process at an informational session Tuesday night.
The meeting is planned for the Dennis Senior Center at 6 p.m. Town officials will give a formal presentation and will field questions from the public.
The session comes as towns across the Cape update their strategies for water quality and wastewater management. The Cape Cod Commission tapped local towns as the Waste Management Agency in charge of meeting federal Clean Water Act guidelines, which requires the establishment of regional wastewater plans.
The 208 plan aims to steer future decision making related to wastewater challenges and water quality initiatives.
