Injured coyote prompts warning from Mashpee Police

MASHPEE – Residents in the Ferngully Pass area of Mashpee should be aware of an adult coyote that is injured and in the area.

It has suffered a leg injury to the point where it is semi-immobile and therefore be seeking easy prey such as small animals.

Residents of the area are asked to keep a lookout for this animal.

The Mashpee  animal control officer has been issued a temporary license for trapping and is hoping to be able to do so. Please contact him via MPD with any sightings.
