International Touring Performer Will Appear at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

 

COTUIT – Well known piano player Matt Nakoa will be the featured act at the Cotuit Center for the Arts on Friday, October 26th.

Nokoa is originally from Smyrna, New York, and has been composing music since he was a teen, he tours internationally and was a well known player in New York City.

With an initial goal of becoming a concert pianist, he attended Berklee College of music, he debuted his first album, Light in the Dark in 2012, it is considered a pop opus.

His second album, released in 2014,  has earned many song writing awards, including a win at Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Competition.

Nakoa has been featured in The New York Times, and his film scoring has been used by Disney. Tickets for the concert are $35.00, $30 for balcony seating. There is a $5.00 discount for members and a $2 discount for seniors and veterans. For more information visit arts on the cape.org.
