WELLFLEET – There will be no charges filed in connection with Tuesday’s deadly car crash on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
Police say Wende Harrison, 54, of North Eastham crossed into oncoming traffic, causing the 3-car accident.
Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
Charges will, however, be filed in Saturday’s accident that snarled traffic on Route 6 for hours.
Timothy Skerry, 20, of Kingston faces negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation charges after police say he crossed into oncoming traffic.
The crash took place on Route 6 and Wendon Way.
Skerry was driving a Chevy trailblazer traveling southbound on Route 6 when he drifted several times into the northbound lane.
Skerry then traveled completely into the northbound lane striking a Chevy Malibu operated by a Michael Goldstein, 55, of New York.
The Wellfleet Police department is also in the final stages of concluding the investigation of Tuesday’s fatal accident on Route 6 and Kerouach Way in which Harrison was killed.
Harrison was driving a Chevy Van cab traveling southbound on Route 6 when the vehicle suddenly crossed into the northbound lane striking a truck owned by R.W. Townsend & Sons and operated by George Pierce III, 33, of Wellfleet.
Harrison then continued traveling northbound, striking a GMC Sierra pickup truck operated by a Matthew Szymanski, 47, of Bolton.
