NANTUCKET – Nantucket Cottage Hospital and the Nantucket Council on Aging are joining forces to offer the first joint Island Health Fair & Elder Expo this weekend.
The event will offer more information and services to the Nantucket community.
The Fair & Elder Expo will feature information booths from more than 40 organizations, as well as health screenings, keynote speakers, cooking demonstrations, free flu shots, and more.
The event is set to take place Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
Attendees should park in the main lot and enter the hospital through the new main entrance, which will be temporarily opened for the event.
Free health screenings will be located at the physician clinics, and include:
- Flu Shots (Free with insurance card)
- Balance Screenings and Grip Testing by NCH Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy
- Oral/Dental Screenings and Topical Fluoride Varnish by Ack Dental Art
- Hearing Screenings by Hearing Life
- Blood Pressure Screenings
