Iyanough Back in Service Soon

FALMOUTH – The Steamship Authority is announcing that the high speed ferry Iyanough, which runs between Hyannis and Nantucket, will resume service on the 26 mile route for the season beginning April 2.  “She’ll be spruced up, sparkling clean and ready to go,” said Steamship Authority General Manager Robert Davis.

Davis says the Authority is offering a “Welcome Back Celebration” to mark the return of the boat for the season with a special offer: “Every passenger who travels on the high speed ferry on April 2 will be able to take advantage of some free snack bar items on that day and also will have a chance to win a free round trip for two,” Davis said.

Davis also announced the return of the annual preseason sale on high speed passenger ticket books. The preseason sale will begin Monday, March 19 and run through Tuesday, April 3.

Between those dates passengers can purchase 10-ride High Speed Ferry Electronic Ticket Books and receive a 20 percent discount on the price.

Ticket books can be purchased at any Steamship Authority Terminal online at SteamshipAuthority.com or by calling 508-477-8600.
