HARWICH – Students and staff at Monomoy Regional High School celebrated the return of the Jawsome Hour Monday.
The Jawsome Hour is a schoolwide hour-long lunch block. Half the students will eat during the first 30 minutes with the remaining students eating during the second half-hour.
The other time will be used by students to explore several other support or enrichment activities.
The Jawsome Hour was reinstated after a successful three-month pilot program in 2017.
Administration said it resulted in improved grades and attendance, and overall improvements in social-emotional well-being and culture.
