BOURNE – A Jeep Wrangler struck a guardrail early this morning and caught fire on Roberta Avenue in Bourne.
According to Sgt. Wallace Perry of the Bourne Police Department, police arrived on scene and found the car engulfed around 2:45 a.m.
The driver, a female, exited the vehicle before police and rescue crews arrived and contacted emergency personnel.
Falmouth Fire and Rescue crews extinguished the fire and transported the woman to Falmouth Hospital with injuries that were described as non-life threatening.
The cause of the accident, and subsequent fire, are still under investigation.
