PROVINCETOWN – Comedian Jimmy Tingle will be performing at Provincetown Town Hall on Thursday for a fundraiser benefiting Provincetown 400.
Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the events to be held next year honoring the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower’s landing in Provincetown, which include re-enactments, a tribute to the Wampanoags and a firework spectacular.
“People enjoy going out for a night of laughter and they love it when it’s for a purpose other than just the entertainment,” Tingle said.
“We’re getting laughs, we’re raising money, and it’s going to a purpose greater than just me or the organization, but to actually move the ball forward in the society.”
Tickets are $50 for general admission. Reserved VIP seating, including a pre-show reception at Edwige restaurant and a meet-and-greet session with Tingle, is set at $100.
The VIP reception starts at 5:30 p.m., and the show is from 7-8:30.
