Joint Base Holds Emergency Response Exercise

CAPE COD – An emergency exercise was initiated at Joint Base Cape Cod Wednesday morning.

The goal of the exercises is to train personnel and hone their skills so they are better prepared for an actual emergency.

The response actions are evaluated and the personnel are able to prepare in the most realistic manner.  The training sessions are held regularly.

Joint base Cape Cod’s 22,000 acres house a full-scale, joint-use base that is home to five commands.

The training is for missions at home and overseas and include airborne search and rescue, cyber and traditional intelligence and ballistic missile early warning.
