MUNICH – 9th District Congressman Bill Keating traveled with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of congress on a trip to Munich Germany for the Munich Security Conference over the weekend.
Leaders from NATO and U.S. Allies were in attendance. The delegation participated in high level conversations and bilateral meetings on global security issues.
“Our high-level delegation is distinguished by the participation of the Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel, Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, Oversight & Reform National Security Subcommittee Chairman Stephen Lynch, Chairman of the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Gerry Connolly, Freshman Member of the Democratic Leadership Katie Hill, and senior members of the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs and Intelligence Committees Gregory Meeks, Jackie Speier, Bill Keating and Filemon Vela,” Speaker Pelosi said.
“The NATO alliance has been the bedrock of global peace and security for 70 years,” said Pelosi.
“Our friends and foes must know that the American commitment to NATO is ironclad, as we work to strengthen this vital alliance and counter emerging threats.” |
Also part of the delegation was Massachusetts Congressman Stephen Lynch.
