HYANNIS – A month after a house party in Hyannisport resulted in his arrest, Matthew “Max” Kennedy was found responsible to a town noise bylaw violation in Barnstable District Court this week.

Kennedy paid a $150 fine and the disorderly conduct charge from the arrest was dropped.

The 52-year old son of the late U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy was arrested after police responded to reports of a loud party on August 20.

According to police reports, Kennedy was angry with officers when they responded to the party and they said that he was irate, uncooperative and had bloodshot eyes.

Kennedy’s 22 year-old daughter Caroline was also arrested at the event.

She’s scheduled to return to court on November 22.
