Knife-Wielding Naked Man Subdued By Barnstable Police

WEST BARNSTABLE – A naked, knife-wielding man had to be subdued by Barnstable police during an incident at a West Barnstable home Sunday morning.

Officers were called to the home off Sandy Neck Road around 7 am after family members reported the 42 year old man was acting irrationally.

Police say the man was tased during the struggle and was refusing to drop the military style knife he was carrying. Four officers were involved in the struggle.

The man, who has not been identified by police, suffered only minor injuries. No officers were hurt.

He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation and will face charges in connection with the incident.
