Kraig’s Dodgeball Tournament Set For Barnstable High School

BARNSTABLE – Kraig’s Dodgeball Tournament will be held at Barnstable High School on Saturday, September 28 to benefit the Kraig Andre’ Diggs Scholarship Fund.

The scholarship honors its namesake, who died in a crash on Route 495 in Middleboro in 2016.

Kraig’s father and tournament founder Kip Diggs said the scholarship was created to carry on Kraig’s memory and legacy.

“Our children are our future. Our family decided to do something to benefit other kids on the Cape that are going for their endeavors,” Diggs said.

“So, we’ve got a scholarship fund for every high school on the Cape.”

The event will feature both Dodgeball and Cornhole tournaments.

“It’s just a great atmosphere,” Diggs said.

“The participants, the crowd watching. One of Kraig’s favorite words was ‘epic.’ So I’m calling it ‘Epic, Volume 2.'”

Thirty-two teams will be in each tournament. Cash prizes will be presented to the top teams, as well as the squads with the best uniforms. Lunch and water will be provided to players.

The games begin at 10 a.m. For registration information and more details, including a list of rules, visit www.kraigsdodgeballtournament.com.
