Leadership Cape Cod Celebrates Launch of New Branding

HARWICH PORT – A newly named organization designed to provide enhanced leadership training on Cape Cod gathered to celebrate the name change on Monday.

Leadership Cape Cod formally launched on Thursday, May 16 during an event held at the Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port.

Leadership Cape Cod is the new name of the organization formerly known as the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod and the Islands (CLI).

The mission of Leadership Cape Cod is to inspire, develop, and connect current and future leaders for the betterment of the community. Enhanced and expanded programs and services, along with consulting and training services will be offered through the new organization.

Since 1992, CLI has fostered the growth of existing and potential community leaders, and more than 600 graduates have learned about leadership from prominent community leaders in business, government, healthcare, the arts, education, social services, and more.  This time-tested program will remain in place and retain the CLI name, under the umbrella of Leadership Cape Cod.

A $10,000 grant from Cape Cod Five will help support Leadership Cape Cod as it grows.

“As a community bank, our business is entirely tied to the overall well-being of the communities we serve,” said Cape Cod Five First Executive Vice President Bert Talerman.

“There is a need to continue to foster leadership and engagement in our communities so that collectively we can tackle our shared challenges and opportunities. We support the efforts of Leadership Cape Cod and its work to strengthen our community by encouraging collaboration, education, opportunity and civic engagement.”

Leadership Cape Cod’s mission is to inspire, develop and connect current and future leaders to ensure an engaged, collaborative, strong and sustainable economic, social, and intellectual future for the greater Cape Cod community.

Its goals are: To provide the tools for leaders to thrive in their businesses and community; To enhance leadership and civic engagement (community service) skills; To cultivate connections and foster thoughtful conversations and collaborative skills; To offer a learning community network of friends and colleagues; and To drive change and innovation to help shape the future of the Cape Cod region.
