Local Musicians to Perform ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’ in Cotuit

COTUIT – The Cotuit Center for the Arts will present a holiday classic early next month from a trio of Cape Cod musicians.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas Album: Live!” will be performed Sunday, December 2 at 6 p.m.

The Peanuts holiday special first aired in 1965 and its score, by Vince Guaraldi, has become one of the most recognizable jazz recordings of all time.

Malcolm Granger on piano, Rich Hill on Bass, and Michael Dunford on percussion are donating their talents for the evening.

Admission for the event is free, but attendees are asked to bring supermarket gift cards with at least $10 in value from Stop & Shop, Star Market, Shaw’s, Trader Joe’s, BJs, or Whole Foods.

The donations will benefit Housing Assistance Corporation’s Angel House, which serves mothers with substance abuse issues and their children.

Individuals who are unable to attend the concert may drop off their gift cards at the Cotuit Center for the Arts box office.
