CDP to Host Green Workshop for Lower Cape Businesses

EASTHAM – The Community Development Partnership will host a Cape & Islands Green Workshop next week for Lower Cape businesses.

The two-hour session on Wednesday, November 28 at the CDP offices in Eastham from 3 to 5 p.m. will focus on how to reduce energy costs and conserve resources, including how “being green” can help the bottom line.

Topics include solid waste minimization, water and energy conservation, and marketing a green business.

The CDP is partnering with the Cape Light Compact to share their expertise on reducing energy consumption. The workshop also provides the steps to take to become a Cape & Islands Green verified.

Once verified, a business will have the opportunity to market itself using the Cape & Islands Green brand which appeals to energy conscious consumers.
