Falmouth Road Race Scaled Back to 10,000 Participants

FALMOUTH – Town officials have scaled back this year’s Falmouth Road Race to 10,000 runners, citing the limited manpower of the understaffed police department.

Race officials said that the lowered cap would have a significant impact on the funds usually raised by the annual race.

The race usually has 12,800 participants and draws thousands of visitors, but necessitates a number of road closures during Cape Cod’s busy summer season.
