Festival of Trees and Osterville Village Stroll Kick Off Holidays

BARNSTABLE  – The Osterville Historical Museum will be hosting its 10th Annual Festival of Trees to kick off the holiday season.

The festival is a silent auction of holiday trees decorated by local small businesses and organizations, with the proceeds benefiting the Osterville Historical Museum.

Participants in the event include Oyster Island Emporium, Osterville House and Garden, Eden, Julia Garden, Sotheby’s, Peter Hansen Design, Corner Cycle, and Coastal style, alongside new addition, Nantucket basket-maker Lynn Barry.

The Festival of Trees will be held during the 50th Annual Osterville Village Stroll, which is free and open to the public.

Bidding on the 22 decorated tabletop trees will be open during the festivities until the auction ends Saturday, December 7 at 3 pm.

The Osterville Village Stroll at large is open from 10 to 6 pm on Friday, December 6 and 10 to 3 pm on Saturday, December 7.

A preview party for museum members will be held Thursday, December 5 from 5 to 7 pm.
