SANDWICH – The state Department of Conservation and Fishing has announced the closure of a 26-foot section of the Scusset Fishing Pier at Scusset Beach State Reservation in the Town of Sandwich.
The reason is to accommodate repairs to the pier’s support piles.
The announcement was made August 1st, took effect immediately, and the closure is in place until further notice.
The DCR says the remainder of the pier will stay open to the public.
