SOUTH YARMOUTH – Blue Rock Golf Course, in partnership with the charity Create the Good, will be hosting the 15th annual Turkey Shoot-Out and Food Pantry Drive next month.
Food donations from the fundraiser benefit students of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District, a system that sees 56% of students receive free or reduced lunch.
As many as 150 players will take to the golf course in South Yarmouth on November 23 and 24, with portions of their entry fees going to Create the Good. Turkeys will be given to players who win closest-to-the-pin contest.
Residents who do not golf are also welcome to donate canned good, non-perishable foods, and gift cards to grocery stores at the course’s pro shop.
