Local Organizations Host MLK Day Silent March and Service

HYANNIS – The annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Service and Silent March takes place next weekend.

The Silent March begins at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 17 at the Hyannis Town Hall Parking Lot and continues to the Federated Church.

Service is scheduled to begin after the march at 3 p.m.

A number of local organizations are participating in the event, including the Cape Cod Chapter of the NAACP, The Federated Church of Hyannis, Cape Cod Community College and the Cape Cod Council of Churches.
