The Vice President of Human Resources for Cape Air Susie Silva and Rosemary Heath, of Taunton, were the new members elected to the board.

The meeting also recognized community partners and volunteers.

The Red Cross recognized the 102d Intelligence Wing, Otis Air Station, Joint Base Cape Cod, and their Commander, Col. Virginia Doonan with the Community Service Award for the work the wing has done not only for the Red Cross but for our community at large.

The Wing continues to host Red Cross Blood Drives, nominate Heroes for the annual Heroes Breakfast, support any and all events the Cape, Islands & SE MA chapter puts on and also supplies our volunteer forces with board members, disaster services volunteers and other volunteer positions.

From annual grants for the chapter’s work locally, to donations at our annual Heroes Breakfast to all the support they give to numerous non-profits in our communities, the Bilezikians have helped make our communities, safer, stronger and more connected. Jeffrey Bilezikian accepted the award for his family.

The Cape, Islands and Southeast Massachusetts Chapter serves a population of more than 1,273,000 people in the 15 towns of Barnstable County, the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket and Bristol and Plymouth counties.
