HYANNIS – Two local tourism groups will be setting up shop at the AAA Travel Marketplace this weekend in an attempt to bring more visitors to the Cape.

The Hyannis Area Chamber of Commerce and Destination Plymouth County will be having booths at the event, which is being held at Gillette Stadium.

“We want to make sure we’re filling the consumer coming through with a little bit of different travel ideas that they might be searching for,” said AAA Northeast Director of Travel Operations Carl Richardson.

The largest consumer travel show in New England will features more than 100 exhibitors who will have information on cruise vacation deals, theme parks, inns and hotels and resorts.

“They’re looking for destinations that are great weekend or mid-week getaways and these wonderful attractions and destinations fit that bill,” said Richardson.
