Vineyard Low Number Plate Auction Underway

MARTHA’S VINEYARD – The second online auction for low number Martha’s Vineyard license plates begins this week and will run until September 14th.  The sale of the plates benefits Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, an organization that supports island nonprofits and service providers.

Plate numbers 1 through 5 are being held back for future auctions, a dozen of the low numbers were sold in an auction earlier this summer. 100%  of the proceeds are tax deductible.

More than 2,500 plates have been sold since the inception of the program in 2015, proceeds from the sales have generated over $100,000 to support services throughout the island.
