Lower Cape Curling Club Offering Two Learning Sessions

ORLEANS – The Lower Cape Curling Club is offering two “Learn to Curl” sessions for aspiring curlers.

The sessions will include the basics of throwing stones by traditional “sliding” or standing “stick” delivery and sweeping, get instructions on safety, scoring, and techniques, as well as an introduction to the sport’s history.

The program prepares individuals to possibly join the LCCC for their fall leagues.

The club warns participants to dress warmly and bring soft-soled shoes or sneakers. All other equipment will be provided.

The event will be held at the club’s home rink, the Charles Moore Arena in Orleans. The dates are September 8 and 15, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Those who wish to participate can visit www.charlesmoorearena.com

Pre-registration is $50 for both sessions and walk-in day of registration is $60.
