Lt. Gov. Polito To Discuss Housing, Economy During Cape Visit

PROVINCETOWN – Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito will make several stops on Cape Cod Tuesday to address issues ranging from housing to small business development.

Her first stop will be in Provincetown where Polito will join Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Mike Kennealy, Undersecretary of Housing and Community Development Janelle Chan, legislators and local officials.

The event will highlight the state’s Housing Choice legislation pending on Beacon Hill.

After the event in Provincetown, Polito will make an announcement with local officials in Truro about MassWorks funding for the town.

The MassWorks Infrastructure Program is a competitive grant program that provides money to municipalities and other eligible public entities for public infrastructure projects that support and accelerate housing production, spur private development, and create jobs.

A similar announcement is expected in Brewster.

Polito will also make an announcement later in the afternoon in Harwich Port about a Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program.
