Lt. Governor to Announce Plymouth Dredging Project

PLYMOUTH – Lt. Governor Karen Polito will be in Plymouth today to announce the approval of the Plymouth Inner Harbor dredging project. The work is expected to take 5-6 months and begin in November.

The Army Corps of Engineers will oversee the 9.3 million dollar project.

Officials say naturally occurring shoaling has made the area difficult to navigate, the dredging will bring the depth in the inner harbor to acceptable levels. The Lt. Governor will be appearing with other local officials for the announcement at 1:15 at Plymouth Town Hall.
