SANDWICH – Lt. Governor Karen Polito will be on Cape Cod this week in support of 5th Barnstable State Representative Randy Hunt, the two will headline an event on Friday.
Topics to be included at the event are Hunt’s work with the Baker-Polito Administration on challenges with the canal bridges, security in schools and fighting to prevent the Commonwealth from becoming a sanctuary state.
Hunt faces a primary challenge from fellow Republican Ron Beaty who currently serves as a Barnstable County Commissioner. The winner of that contest will run against Democrat Jack Stanton in the fall.
The event will take place at the Dan’l Webster Inn in Sandwich Friday evening at 5.
