ORLEANS, Mass. (AP) — A Utah man is facing charges after police say he drove at speeds of over 100 mph on a Cape Cod highway and refused to stop for police.
Daniel Goldman, 28, of Park City, pleaded not guilty Monday to operating under the influence of alcohol and related offenses.
Police say Goldman was driving a 1994 BMW convertible on Route 6 when he passed a police officer around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say the officer attempted to pull over Goldman for speeding, but Goldman accelerated and weaved in and out of traffic. Goldman allegedly pulled over after nearly hitting another car.
Goldman told police he was heading to his parents’ home in Wellfleet after getting pizza.
It’s unclear whether he has retained a lawyer.
