SOUTH DENNIS – One man is dead and a woman was taken to a Boston Hospital after a double stabbing last night in South Dennis.
According to a statement from Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and Dennis Police Chief Peter DiMatteo, officers were called to 11 O’Connor Drive around 7:30 p.m. to find the 35-year-old woman with stab wounds calling for help.
Police then found Mark Thomasson, 30, with stab wounds and say he died at the scene while he was being prepared to be taken to Cape Cod Hospital, according to the statement.
The statement said the initial investigation suggests the woman was stabbed by Thomasson who then stabbed himself.
The incident remains under investigation by State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Dennis Police.
