Man Hospitalized After Hyannis Hit-and-Run

HYANNIS – A man was taken to Cape Cod Hospital yesterday evening after he was struck by a vehicle on Main Street in Hyannis.

According to Hyannis Fire Lieutenant Mark Storie, the incident occurred near Bradford’s Ace Hardware around 5:15 p.m.

Storie said the 49-year-old victim suffered minor, non life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle had left the scene prior to police and rescue crews arriving on scene, according to Storie.

Barnstable Police are investigating the incident.
